Inventors Willis(Buddy) and Deborah Whited of Alpine, TN have designed a raised anti-fatigue platform that can be positioned behind a chair and adjusted so a hairdresser can comfortably work at chest level.
As a hairdresser for over 25 years and a salon owner for over 10 years, Deborah spends many hours at the salon. At approximately 5'3" tall, she has experienced muscle fatigue and a torn rotator cuff to her left shoulder. This is from prolonged use of her hands at or above shoulder level when working with tall clients. The idea for a mobile platform came to her and she expressed her desire and need for one to Buddy. Being a DIY guy and carpenter, he made a prototype for her birthday. It was a game changer! Deborah and some of her shorter hairdressers experienced no pain and could work longer days because of it. Now it has been further developed and is ready for market!
